Ron de los Reyes is a broadcast journalist who has covered four Olympic Games-Seoul’ 88, Barcelona ‘92, Atlanta ‘96 and Sydney 2000, five Wimbledon Tennis Championships from 1992- 97 as well as six Southeast Asian Games the last one in Nakhorn Ratchashima in Thailand in 2007.

He is best remembered for doing the live commentary of amateur boxer Onyok Velasco’s silver medal finish in the ’96 Atlanta Olympics.

Ron started in radio when he was still a Broadcast Communications student at UP as newscaster at the Far East Broadcasting Company. Later, he moved to the National Media Production Center as an announcer before shifting to public relations as a career at San Miguel Corporation (1980- 90). He also had a stint as anchor of IBC 13’s late night news program.

Ron’s passion for travel and learning about the latest cars led him to produce Auto REVIEW. He currently writes a column “Ron on the Run” in Manila Bulletin’s Cruising Magazine and is a founding member of the Society of Philippine Motoring Journalists.
