JAC Motors Philippines just launched the newest edition of its best-selling sub-compact SUV – the JAC S2. Since its launch in 2018, the Chinese Automaker has grown a community of proud and satisfied customers with the JAC S2 being its flagship model. This year, JAC Motors Philippines gives the S2 a revamped, refreshed and revitalized look that will definitely be a stunner on the road.
The 2021 JAC S2 still sports the same 1.5L VVT Engine mated with either a CVT or Manual Transmission and puts out 111 horses and a torque of 146 N.m. The newest model is expected to be more agile with the change in gear ratio from 4.056 to 6.65. The suspension is still a Mac-Pherson Independent for the front, and Torsion Beam Semi-Independent at the rear and disc brakes all around for the needed stopping power and safety. The new JAC S2 will be rolling on 16s alloy rims with a new design wrapped 205/55 Tires.
When it comes to safety, the JAC S2 will continue to have the advantages of the high technology safety features such as:
Dual Airbags; Driver and Passenger Seatbelt Alarms; ISOFIX Ready; Immobilizer; ABS-EBD; Electronic Stability Control; Hydraulic Brake Assist; Brake Override System; and Hill start Assist Control. The new S2 will also provide the convenience of cruise control system, rear parking sensor and back-up camera.
Aside from the well-loved features enjoyed by existing owners, JAC has listened to the feedback of customers on necessary improvements for the S2. Aesthetically, the JAC S2 has been streamlined and combined the DRL with the HL for a sportier and more cohesive look. The trapezoidal grille remains an exterior staple. Inside, an improved interior with leather seats and trimmings are accented with red stitching for a sportier look. JAC also heard the clamor from owners for it to be more competitive in its multi-media features as it now sports a 9-inch multi-media screen that is Android-Auto and Apple-Carplay equipped.
The JAC S2 will continue to have the same price of P798k for the CVT Variant and P748k for the manual transmission as an introductory offer.
