Geely Coolray has emerged as the top-selling sub-compact this June as automotive groups CAMPI and AVID posted last month’s sales. The 5-seater crossover sold 154 units, while Geely ranked 10th in the brand over-all sales with a 184 unit-record, combining the purchases of Coolray and the recently launched Azkarra.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to challenge the economic state of the Philippines, especially the motoring industry, Geely proves that bouncing back from this crisis is possible with this announcement. With a year-to-date record of 549 units, this is the brand’s highest monthly sales since January 2020.

Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) President & CEO Mikihisa Takayama said, “this is definitely a very positive development as every auto brand try to bounce back during this post-ECQ period. We are very delighted of this outcome since it is mainly driven by one model, the Coolray and only one showroom located in North Edsa”.

“We expect Geely sales to improve further as we open new dealership outlets and further complement our product line up this year.”, Takayama added.

This achievement made SGAP’s performance jump to an impressive 160% surge, compared to 70 units sales record in May.
