Automobili Lamborghini and the Lego Group formed a new partnership in producing a 3,696-piece, 1:8 scale model of the Sián FKP 37. The collaboration rendered the most powerful Lamborghini hybrid super sports car in Lego Technic form.
Revealed at Frankfurt Auto Show last year, the Sián FKP 37’s futuristic features are recreated in the Technic model, among which are replicas of the super sports car’s V12 engine, a steering wheel complete with the Automobili Lamborghini badge, functional front and rear suspension, and a movable rear spoiler. It also has an intricate cockpit and a fully functioning eight-speed sequential gearbox controlled by a movable paddle shifter, only seen when the car’s scissor doors open. Even with the exterior, the model has the exact vivid lime-green paint job and elegant gold rims which are all available on the real Sián FKP 37.
Stefano Domenicali, Chairman, and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini stated that “the Lego brick is an icon in the same way as a Lamborghini super sports car is,” as both brands “embody the pursuit of design perfection.” Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program allows drivers to design their own car just as LEGO bricks provide builders of all ages the freedom to create what they want with endless possibilities.
To make it more interesting, the Sián FKP 37 Technic model’s front hood can be opened to show a Lamborghini overnight bag, as well as a unique serial number that unlocks special content underneath it. The brands also included a special QR code in the car’s building instructions that redirects to an exclusive series of videocasts by Automobili Lamborghini and Lego experts when scanned.
“This replica of the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 from the Lego Group presents a brilliant new building experience for both super sports car fans and Lego enthusiasts,” Domenicali said.
The Lego Technic Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 is now available directly from Lego stores and LEGO.com/Technic-Lamborghini-Sian, then in retailers worldwide from August 1, 2020.
