MG Philippines launched the newest addition to its ZS model line-up, the MG ZST Crossover SUV.
The brand was launched in the country in 2018 and the ZS model line has been a popular choice for customers because of its stylish looks, modern features, and reasonable price points. The ZS Crossover SUV is currently at the top of the 5-seater SUV-B segment in the country. The MG ZST joins the current ZS models available in the market: the Alpha AT, Style AT, and Core MT variants.
According to President and CEO of MG Philippines, Atty. Alberto B. Arcilla, the new MG ZST is an upgrade of all the best features of the original ZS. The “T” in ZST stands for “Turbo;” which represents its turbocharged, three cylinder, 1.3-liter engine that can produce 160 HP and 230 N m of torque mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission with manual sports mode. The ZST also has the highest specs among MG’s crossover SUV line.
On its exterior, the ZST sports a new Obsidian Matrix grille and full-LED projector headlights while its 17-inch, two-tone “Tomahawk” wheels are wrapped in wide, low-profile tires. It displays a striking and impressive stance, yet very approachable and youthful as well.
Inside, the ZST gives a premium feel with soft touch surfaces on the steering wheel, dashboard, center console, and door panels. It also features improved Noise vibration and harshness (NVH), a dynamic six-speaker system, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen HD infotainment system which is Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatible. The ZST’s running stats can also be viewed through the “Goggles” virtual instrument cluster.
The MG ZST is equipped with a variety of passive and active safety features. Front, side, and curtain airbags are standard for the ZST. While electronic safeguards such as Rear Cross-Traffic Assist, Lane Change Assist, and Cornering Lamps have been added. It is also equipped with Hill Hold Control, Cornering Brake Control, Traction Control, and Vehicle Dynamic Control. There is also a Blind Spot Information System paired with the 360-degree vehicle view which gives a top view of the car during slow-moving traffic or when slowly moving into tight parking spaces.
MG Philippines’ aftersales offers include a 5-year or 100,000km warranty (whichever comes first), and 1-year free periodic maintenance service (PMS). MG owners can download the My MG mobile app to easily schedule service appointments. While the MG HERO Services provides 24/7 roadside support through the MG Philippines hotline (+632 5328 4664).
The new MG ZST Crossover SUV starts at Php 1,158,888.00 SRP. It will be made available in all 39 MG Philippines dealerships nationwide. Reservations start this October 2021. Customers can also reserve through the website at https://buyanmg.com/.
