Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) officially unveils to the country its new Xpander Cross, positioned to be the top-of-the-line variant of the Mitsubishi top selling nameplate.
The Xpander Cross is a 7-seater crossover MPV built with solid SUV styling, comfortable and pleasant drivability, as well as a spacious, practical and versatile interior design.
Back in 2018, Xpander Cross instantly gained a strong patronage in the market during its launch in the Philippines, which had 13,494 units sold in its first year. Furthermore, it now has a total of 36,168 units sold from its launch. This highly-recognized vehicle is currently the best-selling MPV in its category in the country that also contributed 30% in the total sales of MMPC.
According to MMPC President and CEO Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, “The Xpander is a very important nameplate to MMPC as it fits many of the vehicle requirements of Filipinos. It provides the reliable performance, spacious and comfortable interior, host of safety features and a very bold design. Now with the entry of the Xpander Cross, its added features, we see renewed potential to the already successful Xpander nameplate.”
Carrying the tagline “Live Extra,” the Xpander Cross lets its owners explore more adventurous terrain with the new class-leading high ground clearance and its robust design. It contains 1.5L MIVEC (Mitsubishi Innovative Valve timing Electronic Control system) gasoline engine DOHC 16 Valve with a 225mm ground clearance, combined with a special tuned suspension with a rebound spring.
To further enhance driving comfort, the Xpander Cross is also designed with a wide windshield and high seating position that provides good visibility for the driver and is also equipped with a cruise control feature to lessen fatigue during long drives.
The pricing of the Xpander Cross is at Php 1,255,000.00 and offers four colors: White Pearl, Sterling Silver Metallic, Graphite Grey Metallic, and Sunrise Orange Metallic.
