Following the implementation of the community quarantine in Luzon, Builder-concessionaire and operator Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) provided food donations to barangays covered by its network of expressways. Families from over 220 barangays within the boundaries of NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, and CALAX received rice and canned goods from MPTC relief efforts.

Despite the COVID-19 situation, NLEX, SCTEX, CAVITEX, and CALAX, are still operating as part of their commitment to contributing to the continuous movement of essential goods in Luzon. MPTC is also coordinating with the Department of Transportation (DOTR) for the efficient commuting of all front-liners

As some regions have relaxed rules after being placed under the general community quarantine, MPTC still observes strict protocols and measures to ensure public safety among their employees and customers.
